Mission

We will teach students the truth about reading, writing, mathematics, history, and science with the goal of showing how each subject matter relates to God and His Word. We will teach not just the facts, but the significance and application of truth. We will encourage each student to live life in a vibrant, meaningful fashion by learning as much about God and what He created as possible, along with the possibility of enjoying a personal relationship with Him.

Our History

Clinton Baptist Church was founded in 1887, but 2026-2027 is the inaugural school year of Clinton Christian School. In the fall of 2024, God used Matthew 19:14 “But Jesus said, Suffer the little children to come unto Me, and forbid them not…” to place a burden on Pastor Mark Philbrick’s heart. In January 2025, he asked the congregation of Clinton Baptist Church to pray about starting a Christian school, that the youngsters of the community could learn from a Biblical worldview and not be taught lies. As the church prayed, God answered by providing leaders, training, facilities, faculty, and other supplies needed for a Christian school in this town. We praise the Lord for His guidance, and we are excited to welcome you to the CCS family.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Clinton Christian School.

In 1986 I had the privilege of graduating from Clinton Christian School as it existed at that time. Getting the opportunity for a Christian education was transformational for me, and it is an honor to be a part of starting the school back up after all these years.

I have personally been in education for over 20 years, and in that time have had the privilege of seeing students grow - not just in knowledge, but in confidence, character and in their relationship with God. Classrooms should be places where curiosity is encouraged, questions are welcomed, and students are known and valued as individuals created in God's image. I believe education works best when school and home walk hand-in-hand. We are committed to employing teachers who genuinely care about the students they serve and are deeply devoted to creating a safe, nurturing environment where children can thrive academically while developing a strong moral and spiritual foundation.

Clinton Christian School is to be more than a place of learning - we envision a community built on the belief of God, relationships and a shared desire to help students become who God has created them to be. I invite you to consider being a part of this vision!
